Any handout, read in your language
The translation sits on the original page, with formulas and figures where they were. BanDoc keeps every term from the course and lines up what to review before the exam.
No account needed. 500 free pages a month. Works on phone, tablet and computer.

Translating a page is not finishing a course
A translated page is gone
Photograph a page, translate it, close the app. Next lecture you look up the same word again.
You follow it but cannot recognise it
You understand the idea in your own language, then the exam is printed in the original language.
You don't know what to review today
Some evenings you have half an hour. It should go to the words most likely to be on the paper.
BanDoc is for students who study from handouts in a language that is not their own: an exchange student in Taiwan, a student on a course taught in another language, a reader of a textbook in a second language. Each course gets its own term list, so the tenth handout is translated the same way as the first.
Formulas and figures stay where they were
The translation appears where the original text is. Numbers, formulas and diagrams stay as they are, and one tap brings the original back.

Every term in the course, kept for you
Specialist words are collected with their page numbers. If a translation is off, fix it once and every later handout follows your fix.

- Kirchhoff's current law克希荷夫電流定律
- node節點
- loop迴路
- equivalent resistance等效電阻
- voltage電壓
- Ohm's law歐姆定律
- parallel並聯
- voltage source電壓源
These terms come from the circuit analysis handout above.
Today's review, already lined up
Every term becomes a card. BanDoc picks today's cards by how well you know them and reminds you at the time you choose. Set an exam date (Student plan) and that course's cards come first, with more new terms each day in the final week.

Your handout stays on your device
The file is not uploaded
PDFs and photos are processed on your device. BanDoc does not keep the file or the full original text on its servers.
Only the passages to translate are sent
The passages to translate (for photographed handouts, a reduced page image) go to the translation model, and the result comes back to your screen. The server keeps your terms, your review history and this month's page count.
For your own study only
BanDoc has no feature for sharing handouts or translations. Before you upload, you confirm that you may use the material to study that course.
Check your school's rules
Schools differ on AI tools. Read your school's policy and the course syllabus before you upload a handout.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from Google Translate?
Google Translate gives you one page and stops. BanDoc keeps the course's terms, reuses the same translation in later handouts, and schedules your review before the exam.
What if the translation is wrong?
The original is one tap away, and formulas and numbers stay as they are. If a term is wrong, fix it once and the whole course uses your fix. This is machine translation, so check the original for work that counts.
Is my handout file uploaded?
The file stays on your device. Only the passages to translate (a reduced page image for photographed handouts) go to the translation model. The details are in the privacy policy.
Does my school allow this?
Schools and teachers set their own rules, and BanDoc cannot confirm them for you. Read your school's policy and the syllabus before you upload.
How do I pay without a credit card?
The free plan needs no card. Paid plans are not on sale yet. When they open, you pay on the checkout page of Polar, our payment provider, with a credit or debit card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay if your phone or browser has it set up. In Taiwan, the checkout shows prices in NT$.
