BanDoc respects copyright. If you are a rights holder and believe someone has used this service to infringe your work, you can tell us under the notice procedure of article 90-4 of Taiwan’s Copyright Act. Fill in the form below to send it. You do not need an account.

1. How we work

BanDoc is a personal tool for students reading handouts on their own devices. It has no sharing, public links or shared course library, and one user’s content is never shown to anyone else. We do not store handout files. Our servers hold only a user’s course names, terms and study history. So what we can act on is the related content in that account, and the account itself.

2. Where to send notices

Under article 90-4, paragraph 1 of the Copyright Act, we designate this contact to receive rights holders’ notices:

  • Name: 小紅科技工作室, copyright notice contact
  • Address: 臺中市神岡區豐洲里豐洲路256巷29之1號1樓 (1F., No. 29-1, Ln. 256, Fengzhou Rd., Shengang Dist., Taichung City 429, Taiwan)
  • Phone: [Phone number]
  • Email: support@bandocstudy.com

3. What a notice should say

So that we can check and act on it, please give us in the form below:

  • The name of the rights holder and a way to reach you. If you are an agent, name both yourself and the rights holder.
  • What work was infringed.
  • Where the alleged infringing content is: the user’s email or account, course name, chapter name, file name and page numbers, as specific as you can.
  • What you want us to do, for example remove the related content from that account.
  • Your statements: you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, the information in the notice is accurate and you are entitled to file it.

If the information is incomplete we will ask you for more, and handling will take longer.

4. After we receive a notice

  • We check the notice. If it is complete, we remove or disable the alleged infringing content in that account right away.
  • We forward the notice to the user concerned and tell them the content was removed.
  • If the user believes it was a mistake, they can send a counter-notice explaining why they may use the content. We pass the counter-notice to you following the procedure the law sets.
  • If an account is the subject of three notices of alleged infringement, we end service to that account.

5. Please do not file a false notice

If you knowingly file a notice that is untrue and it causes loss to a user or to us, you may be liable for damages under the relevant provisions of the Copyright Act. If you are unsure, ask your legal adviser first.

6. How we use what you enter

What you enter is used only to handle this notice and is kept as the law requires. It is not made public. Because we forward the notice to the user concerned, they may see its contents, including your name and contact details. See the privacy policy for details.
